Future Forward

To close out Black History Month in 2022, Nike and Jordan Brand joined forces for Future Forward — a three-day festival celebrating sport, culture, and creativity across South London.

Taking over The Black Prince Trust and Pop Brixton, the event featured a packed schedule of basketball games, talks, workshops, live performances, and cultural experiences — all accessible through the Nike app.

From hair care sessions with Treasure Tress and dance workshops led by Ayra Starr, Movement Factory, and Twerk After Work, to live performances from Rema, Knucks, and Ojerime, the festival brought together some of the UK’s most exciting voices in music, sport, and culture. Special guests included Colin Kaepernick, Dina Asher-Smith, Alice Dearing, and Mayowa Quadri, while DLTBrunch hosted the opening and closing parties to capacity crowds.

Cut The Net oversaw all basketball operations, branding, logistics, and on-site delivery — ensuring every on-court activation ran seamlessly across the weekend. Working alongside Nike and Jordan Brand, CTN helped transform both venues into dynamic spaces that embodied the energy, diversity, and creativity of London’s Black community, marking one of the most ambitious cultural collaborations of the year.
